Sara Nocton

Sara Nocton has a master’s degree in counseling from DePaul University and is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Illinois. She offers comprehensive support for clients experiencing depression, anxiety and interpersonal conflict, and specializes in guiding clients through the phase of emerging adulthood and general life transitions.

A person-centered therapist, Sara creates a welcoming environment for clients to explore any topics they choose. She believes in the importance of authencity in the therapeutic space, encouraging clients to bring their true selves to sessions. With an approach that values meeting clients where they are, Sara also sees the benefit of incorporating levity and humor into therapy sessions.

Employing evidence-based techniques; Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Sara believes in the importance of recognizing client’s harmful thought patterns and highlighting their values as a tool to assist them in leading a life in alignment with those values.
